Job Description
Deputy Manager
We are working with a lovely Nursery in Langley that requires an enthusiastic, energetic Deputy Manager to cover a Maternity post position, starting from July 2009 - December 2009.
You will be required to work alongside the Manager to support and assist them with the running of the Nursery, alongside managing the Toddler Room.
This is a fantastic opportunity to maintain close relationships with the children in your room, while at the same time learning more about the running of a Nursery.
The successful applicant will understand how to manage staff and develop excellent relationships with parents as well as having a very good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
This Nursery has a lovely staff team, wiith a very homely, warm feel.
Your responsibilities as a Deputy Manager will include:
To maintain and promote high standards of care
To effectively lead and motivate the staff team including recruitment and retention
To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
To work in partnership with the parents
You will need the following training and experience:
An NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3, or equivalent qualification
Knowledge of the EYFS
Knowledge of OFSTED standards
Excellent communication skills
Strong people management skills
All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced CRB Disclosure.
Excellent rates of pay.
There is the possibility for this position to become a more permanent role, as this Nursery is part of a larger group.
